A showreel, produced as a photomotion, conveys to others in the industry, the qualities and feel of a production. It transmits the essence of performers' capabilities and talents. As a photomotion, it economically ensures high production values when visually summarising the experience of a show.
A photomotion is an animated series of live-action stills, presented in sequence. It is combined with a soundtrack associated with the performance. Produced as a video file, it suitable for embedding into websites. It' Out Now is licenced through APRA to use original music on our website for showreel purposes. Many productions have music licences that allow for similar uses.
Quality stills combined with an associated soundtrack produces a particularly engaging video. It economically conveys the look and feel of the production, helping to set expectations of a live performance.
The photomotion process also produces a photoarchive of quality stills, catalogued and ready for ongoing collateral uses. Imagery in a photomotion showreel flows sequentially and avoids significant reveals. To ensure authentic content, we shoot live. We use sound suppressing casements as required.

"[It's Out Now's] beautiful photomotions capture the spirit and nature of a live event... they capture the ambience of an event through a musically backed collage of striking and sensitive photos that stimulate emotional responses that linger on in the memory."
